After this program had a break in 2020 it came back this year. You can see my setup in this video. I had so much fun engaging with local community and meeting fellow artists.
After the 2020 Art Walk was canceled this year we had a somewhat changed format but equally popular. Instead of an indoor event we are used to, this year we had an outdoor experience. We were spread out in parks and wineries, 12 different locations altogether and visitors were touring the Lake Country on their own discovery adventure. It was a blast! People loved it and I also enjoyed being outdoors instead of being locked in for the entire day, although I suggest you have some sun protection because I got a bit sunburnt.
FCA COC members participating in the OASIS 2021 are volunteering in Peachland Art Gallery and you can come meet us and talk art during our work shifts. I will be volunteering in gallery on July 13, 20 & 27 from 9am to 1pm.
The Federation of Canadian Artists is pleased to present an exhibition guest curated by Angela Clarke of the Italian Cultural Centre of Vancouver.
Dr. Angela Clarke holds a Ph.D. in Interdisciplinary Studies from UBC specializing in Italian women, religion and decorative art. She is the Museum Director and Curator of Il Museo at the Italian Cultural Centre.
This exhibition is a celebration of all things beautiful and finding the beauty in all things. Think exquisite still life pieces, breathtaking models, charming rural scenes, and luxe abstracts.
